Lion Dance Zhi Xing is an Activity Zhi Xing of Chinese Culture Programme. Lion Dance is a traditional performance combined with martial arts and dance.  It requires incredible strength and coordination of a pair of dancers. The mission of Lion Dance School Team is to promote Lion Dance as a traditional Chinese culture  among the community members.

Lion Dance is always the indispensable performance in all important school events, such as Graduation Ceremony and Chinese Cultural Evening. Participants have intensive training every week guided by professional instructors from Suzhou.

Moreover, Lion Dance Zhi Xing is also a bonding opportunity. Every training session is a good practice for perseverance, patience and teamwork.

I am always interested in Chinese traditional culture. When I saw the Lion Dance for the first time, I literally felt in love with it and I was so enthusiastic to start! It is challenging and it requires patience, commitment and…a lot of strength! It is also important to be coordinated with the other lions: the result is a wonderful teamwork! The instructors speak only Chinese, but all my teammates help me with translation and in improving my Chinese! It is an amazing experience, and I always can’t wait for the training on Tuesday evening! 我爱舞狮!
