"Education must enable young people to effect what they have recognised to be right, despite hardships, despite dangers, despite inner scepticism, despite boredom, and despite mockery from the world."
Kurt Hahn, UWC Founder
UWC Changshu China, opened in September 2015, is located on the banks of Kuncheng lake of Changshu. Students from over 100 countries and regions gathered at the school to embark on a journey in pursuit of peace and sustainable future. UWC Changshu China offers two-year IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and a one-year Foundation Programme as well as an extensive range of experiential learning and community service activities.
Students of UWC Changshu China benefit from UWC’s transformational learning experience of explicitly promoting international understanding, sustainability, social responsibility, community service and Chinese language and culture. It’s this diversity which inspires our students to become engaged and motivated change agents, committed to making the world a better place.
At UWC up to 75% of our IBDP students receive either full or partial scholarships, underpinning our wide socio-economic diversity. At UWC Changshu nearly 70% of our IBDP students are offered various levels of scholarships.
Your generosity ensures these courageous young people will continue to receive a transformational education that enables them to make a positive difference in the world.
