Mini-UWC
How can there be peace without people understanding each other, and how can this be if they don’t know each other?

UWC Changshu China Mini-UWC 2025

27 July – 4 August 2025

Do you want to make friends from all over the world? Have you been considering meeting a new self? Would you like to change the world with us? If so, come and join us! Here is Mini-UWC 2025 in UWC Changshu China.

This July, Mini-UWC will again return to our UWC CSC campus. Mini-UWC is a 9-day summer program held by ASAP (All Students for  Action Program), a Zhixing activity initiated by students from United World College Changshu China. ASAP provides the UWC CSC experience to all the campers participating in Mini-UWC. Participants will enjoy an unforgettable experience during this summer program. Campers are required to initiate social service programs and plan a complete project that will be presented at the end of Mini-UWC.

We are thrilled to unveil this year’s summer program theme: The Windmill. A timeless symbol of harmony and opportunity, the windmill offers profound lessons for personal growth and collective progress.

Balance in Motion
A windmill rotates gracefully only when its four blades are perfectly balanced and symmetrical. This principle mirrors life itself—true fulfillment lies not in perfecting a single aspect of our lives, but in nurturing equilibrium across all dimensions: intellectual, emotional, physical, and social. Through workshops, collaborative projects, and reflective activities, participants will explore how to cultivate resilience by harmonizing their ambitions, relationships, and well-being.

Harnessing the Winds of Opportunity
Yet, even the most balanced windmill cannot turn without wind. The gusts that set it in motion represent the opportunities that propel us forward. This summer, we will empower participants to recognize, seize, and channel these "winds" of chance—whether through creative problem-solving,  leadership challenges, or community initiatives. Just as a windmill transforms breeze into energy, we will equip you with the tools to turn possibilities into purposeful action.

For campers

Mini-UWC will be mainly divided into four sections: project development, theme activities, field trip, and UWC experience. In each section, our program organizers will guide the campers to adapt to the environment by conducting different activities. The activities will cover a wide range of topics such as technology innovation, peace and sustainability, critical thinking, health management, etc. Campers will work together to adapt to a whole new environment and embrace the future.

For facilitators

Crew leaders will lead a crew every day and stay with them during the Mini-UWC. Facilitators are a group of people who will help to organize and lead different activities designed by ASAP members. All the crew leaders and facilitators need to be responsible and be able to face different situations. You should be a teacher as well as a friend of the campers. Your aim is not to educate campers, but to instruct and help them to discover new skills, improve their abilities, and handle challenges and problems.

ASAP and Mini-UWC 2025 are looking forward to your participation!
