Chinese Calligraphy Zhi Xing

Chinese Calligraphy Zhi Xing aims to promote this fascinating ancient Chinese art form to our UWC community. It is also a place for experienced calligraphers to communicate, collaborate and learn from each other. During the weekly activities, experienced calligraphers introduces the basic skills and characters to beginners, and we work together to create various art works and decorations for the community.

“I gained a lot from Chinese Calligraphy Zhi Xing. It is not only about how much I have improved my calligraphy skills, but about the decision I made to pass on Chinese culture. We taught students from other countries how to write Chinese characters, which was sometimes challenging for them. However, their passion and consistence impressed me. This experience taught me that that passing on Chinese culture is not limited to doing grandeur projects, but it can be done in small steps so enough which everyone can do.”
