UWC Changshu China Receives NEASC Accreditation
Issue date:2022-02-17Recently, UWC Changshu China received the outcome of the NEASC-CIE accreditation visit which took place last October. New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on International Education (CIE) has awarded UWC Changshu China Accreditation.
UWC Changshu China is proud to have been awarded the NEASC Accreditation. This achievement means that UWC Changshu China meets a globally recognised standard of excellence. There are only six other schools in the mainland of China with this recognition so far.
To achieve our accreditation, the whole college underwent an extensive reflection and vision building process through 2019 to 2021 that focused on how we learn at UWC Changshu China. The purpose was to create an agreed framework and toolkit on learning that is future-oriented and will allow our students to achieve transformational change during their education with us.
NEASC report stated that “The quality of education at UWC Changshu China is exemplary.” “…the Visitors recognize in UWC Changshu China a community of learners (young and old) who have embraced the challenges and opportunities that face contemporary education and have seen the learning community experimenting with active learning strategies in both conventional classrooms and experiential learning settings.”
Mr. Simon Head, Principal of UWC Changshu China said: “This achievement is a testimony to the commitment and professionalism of our faculty and staff at UWC Changshu China. The accreditation also reflects the unique and supportive learning environment and the collaboration to excellence, despite the difficulties and disruption we faced during the global pandemic. I thank everyone involved in contributing to this significant and successful accreditation process. UWC Changshu China is committed to creating extraordinary learning experiences for all learners.”
