Tingting Feng
Tingting Feng is passionate about intercultural understanding and wishes to connect young people from different backgrounds to collaboratively create experiences that enrich their personal development. She holds a master’s degree in Linguistic and Applied Linguistics from East China Normal University and joined UWC Changshu China in 2017 as a Mandarin Ab Initio teacher.
Now as an experiential educator, she oversees the educational and operational aspects of the Experiential Learning Program, with a special focus on local outreach. Together with the experiential learning team, she coordinates over 90 student activity groups and Project Weeks of different year cohorts, as well as community events that are initiated by the student body. Most of her professional connections with the students are to help them develop their ideas into projects and to provide guidance for students on the successful execution of them. Her interest in her future study is to look at the contextualization of experiential education in China since the early 1990s, in the hope of further improving the educational depth of experiential learning programs in schools nowadays.
Her personal interests are baking, hiking, cycling, Zumba, SUP (Stand-up Paddle Boarding), film, and meditation. She now lives on campus with her family and a 1-year-old border collie.
