PVO Online Teaching
PVO stands for Project Volunteer Online. It is a public welfare project of distant classrooms, in which volunteers provide sustainable education for children from rural areas via online video link and keep them accompanied at the meantime. PVO not only makes up for the lack of educational resource in the countryside, but also offers mental caring for stay-behind children. Up to now, PVO online teaching Zhi Xing has established long-term and stable relationship with Guangxi Huaguang Girls’ High School, Hunan Nantai Primary School, and Yunnan Guanliwanxiao. PVO’s distant courses range from English to music and visual art, continuously contributing to solving the social issue of unbalanced educational resource.
“PVO online teaching is a unique UWC CSC community service that allows us to turn the UWC missions and values into reality. We are not only helping students to boost their English skills and become more confident, but also making them more open-minded, and enthusiastic about the world around them. PVO online teaching has a huge impact on us as the UWC community, mainly because it unites us around the same goal, making us reflect for one more time on why we are all here.”
