The striking feature of the UWC is that they embrace the entire world. They are unique and they are conscious of their responsibilities.

Mini-UWC Summer Program is a 9-day UWC short course organized by All Students for Action Program (ASAP). During the program, campers have the chance to experience authentic UWC life, as the program is fully facilitated by UWC students and recent UWC alumni. A highlight of the program is that campers will propose and present their own social service projects at the end of the Mini-UWC. When campers return to their own communities, they will carry out those projects and bring about positive changes. After completion of Mini-UWC Summer Program, campers are considered alumni of the UWC movement.

Every year, there is a different theme for Mini-UWC with emphasis on the power of teenagers gathering together to inspire change and share the passion and idea to make our world a better place.

Key Program Components

Theme Activity: Game-based activities will aim to encourage campers to experience, learn, and think more about the theme of the day in a fun and engaging way.

Field Trip: A trip to a secret location in Changshu city will take place, where campers will be divided into teams and complete various challenges while having a fun time outdoors.

UWC experience: Campers will be experiencing traditional activities UWC students participate in. These are activities closely related to UWC values and culture. Counselors from different UWCs will each bring activities, which students in their respective UWCs often engage in, to share with the campers.

Skill Building Sessions: Counselors will facilitate workshops which demonstrate various skills needed to effectively develop a project. Campers will collaborate in project groups and practice these skills within the sessions.

Residential Life: The residential life on UWCCSC campus includes two different units - houses and crews. Campers will be divided into different houses according to their residential floor and live as a big group. There are common spaces in each floor where campers can freely bond with each other. Campers will also be divided into smaller groups—crews. The crews provide an environment for campers to form closer bonds, while engaging in activities and discussions.
